The HRM Fresh Fish Crew
In honor of Dr. Charles Drew, first to have a Blood Drive, we encourage the Community to "Be Heroes" and donate blood to save someone. Donating blood is a true act of altruism and Builds Community- Common Unity. Altruism means, the belief in or practice of disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others. The HRM's Community Blood Drives produce Great Humane Beings. Our Community Blood Drives keep the Community Safe and Healthy. The HRM have co-created over 600 Heroes with our Community Blood Drives Outreach with businesses in San Jose. The Community Blood Drives will be apart of the Community Building Endeavor when we have events like the Community 1 mile Race/Run/Walk and World Music Festival Fundraiser. We bring the Community together.

The Humane Renaissance Movement want to bring the 1 mile Race/Fun Run/Walk to communities to facilitate- Positive Change ; improved self-esteem is a key psychological benefit of regular physical activity. When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. Endorphins trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine. For example, the feeling that follows a run or workout is often described as "euphoric." That feeling, known as a "runner's high," can help attain a positive and energizing outlook on life. Regular exercise has been proven to ; Reduce stress, Ward off anxiety and feelings of Depression, Boost self-esteem , Improve sleep. Exercise also has these added health benefits: It strengthens your heart. It increases energy levels. It lowers blood pressure. It improves muscle tone and strength. It strengthens and builds bones. It helps reduce body fat. It makes you look fit and healthy. The HRM will have a 1 Mile Race/Run/Walk in Communities everywhere. The HRM would like to bring this endeavor to E.Palo Alto, Palo Alto, E. Menlo Park, E. San Jose, Downtown San Jose, Vallejo, Richmond, Hunters Point/Bayview, S.F. Mission District, San Francisco Golden Gate Park, Berkeley, Oakland and Richmond. This is a Community Building event in which we also will have a Community Blood Drive Challenge between Communities. Invite all non profits in the Community to meet and greet their Community. Get the community up and racing, running and walking. This endeavor is to inspire and motivate the community to get fit, stay fit and be a Community- Common Unity.

Here are the benefits of Music and why the HRM uses Music to Connect People.
1.Early musical training helps develop brain areas involved in language and reasoning.
2.There is also a causal link between music and spatial intelligence (the ability to perceive the world accurately and to form mental pictures of things).
3. Students of the arts learn to think creatively and to solve problems by imagining various solutions, rejecting outdated rules and assumptions.
4. Recent studies show that students who study the arts are more successful on standardized tests such as the SAT.
5. A study of the arts provides children with an internal glimpse of other cultures and teaches them to be empathetic towards the people of these cultures.
6. Students of music learn craftsmanship as they study how details are put together painstakingly and what constitutes good, as opposed to mediocre, work.
7. In music, a mistake is a mistake; the instrument is in tune or not, the notes are well played or not, the entrance is made or not. It is only by much hard work that a successful performance is possible.
8. Music study enhances teamwork skills and discipline.
9. Music provides children with a means of self-expression.
10. Music study develops skills that are necessary in the workplace.
11. Music performance teaches young people to conquer fear and to take risks.
12. An arts education exposes children to the incomparable.
